Tabitha is a staff accountant that works remotely for Accountfully. Although we don’t get to hang out with her in the office most of the time, her spunkiness and fun demeanor tend to leave an impact on the team from wherever she may be. From spearheading (literally) head circumference challenges to backing the Lions (even though they aren’t even in the usual office football team debates) she is one of the many eclectic players on Team Accountfully. We celebrate her this week.
What was your first job? Worked at a local restaurant in the town I grew up in. They had a large salad bar and I basically maintained that and made most of the salads on it.
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day? A good yoga class. Or an outdoor patio with a glass of Rosé if the weather is right.
What is your favorite part of working for Accountfully? Accountfully encourages your professional growth but also supports your personal life as well. I think most of us have worked in the office atmosphere where you feel trapped in a box, you’re just another face in the crowd, and you as a person don’t matter. I love how Accountfully takes the time for company happy hours, outings, celebrate birthdays, etc. They make it a point to let us know they truly do care about us as individuals and the company wouldn’t be where we are without all our hard work. I also enjoy the banter among the employees and the never ending debate of the "Patriots or the Eagles". (Correct answer is the Lions, btw).
Who is your hero? My Dad. He always had a huge smile on his face, brightened any room he walked into, and was one of the hardest workers I know. Life is too short to not go after what you want, live life to the fullest, and have FUN. The short time I got with him has forever molded who I am/becoming today.
Have you ever had a nickname and if so, what was it? Melon. When I was born I had a large, round head. This actually sparked an in-office debate a few years ago as to who had the biggest head in the office so we had someone measure the circumference of all our heads to see who won. (I did not win to my surprise). This also shows you that we like to have fun at Accountfully. :)
