Employee Spotlight:  Erica Doolittle

Accountfully believes people are greater than numbers, and we are on a mission to prove it.  We enjoy featuring our eclectic employees with a spotlight that shows the world a bit more about them behind the outsourced accounting scenes.  

It’s time to introduce the world to one of our remote Accounting Managers, Erica Doolittle.  Erica works from her home in West Virginia.  Join us as we dive into the wonderful world of Erica and hear her thoughts about being part of Team Accountfully.  Spoiler alert - she loves her dog Brooks and having a job that allows him to be her coworker on the daily! 

Erica’s Role at Accountfully:  

Accounting Manager

First job:  

My first job was as a guest experience specialist at Petco in my hometown in California. I’ve always loved dogs and it was fun to get to see so many animals and meet pet owners and be helpful to them. 

Favorite way to unwind after a busy day:  

At the end of the day I like to enjoy walking my dog on the trails around my house. I also like to hike with my friends, go to the gym, OR do absolutely nothing and binge Netflix. 

Work-related accomplishment Erica is most proud of:

Erica was most excited about getting her CPA license in 2018. 

Favorite part of working at Accountfully: 

The people here at Accountfully are amazing! Everyone I have met so far are friendly and relational. I also love the work life balance Accountfully offers its employees. From the very first interview, I was told multiple times that Accountfully strives to stick to a 40 hour work week and to not overload any of its employees. I also liked that Accountfully brings their employees in person for training their first week and for events, because even meeting my coworkers in person as little as once a year makes me feel way more connected in this remote work environment. .

What makes Erica laugh the most:  

Any commercial where animals talk or act like people absolutely gets me.

Previous/Current nicknames: 

My whole family calls me Ricky. I think it started with them shortening Erica to Ric and somehow it evolved to Ricky. 

The animal Erica would like to be:

‍I'd like to be my dog. No bills, no work, no worries. Pampered. 

What Erica wants the world to know about her:

‍I grew up in California and moved to Virginia when I was 19. I've been married for five years as of June 2022! I like to travel.  I've traveled to seven countries outside of the US (so far). I love children's movies. I love Chai lattes. I love dogs. I love my friends. I love my baby niece!
