Emily drives the most valuable part of Accountfully, the people and the culture. While she is a force to be reckoned with in the world of human resources, she is also a passionate animal lover and volunteers her time supporting amazing rescue causes. When she isn't planning our next big company adventure, sourcing talent, or developing cool new learning opportunities, she will be laughing at the darkest of jokes or taking in a Florida sunset…possibly at the same time.

Emily is our People and Culture Manager, which encompasses just that: all things people and culture. It is a combination of the more “boring” human resources tasks, like policy development, compliance, change management, and benefits, to the more “fun” parts, like events, recognition, hiring, learning, and more.
She earned a degree from UNC Pembroke, majoring in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations–a great foundation for making people, and their success, her primary focus areas. It’s no surprise that this was what inspired Emily to pursue Human Resources.
She says,
“I’ve always been passionate about roles where I can help people succeed, and HR felt like the perfect fit. I love making a positive impact and shifting perceptions of HR from being something to fear to a valued strategic partner.”
"Passing my PHR (Professional in Human Resources) exam in 2021! Despite my test-taking anxiety, I put in countless hours of studying and overcame my challenges to earn that certification."
Emily kicked off her professional career as a Host and Server at Razzoos Cajun Cafe in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Being a remote team of one might sound lonely, but that’s far from the truth at Accountfully. I’ve felt so welcomed and genuinely love our culture here, though I might be a bit biased! The people are amazing and always ready to offer support.”
An Elephant! Emily says, “One of my favorite animals is an Elephant. Going to Africa and seeing hundreds of elephants is one of my favorite life events. Elephants thrive in close-knit herds, forming strong bonds with family and friends :-)”

“I'm a huge animal lover–specifically, very involved with animal rescue. I had an internship in college with an animal rescue and worked at the Humane Society of Charlotte for a few years. I'm the go-to person when someone is in the market to adopt a pet!”
That’s not all, however. Emily is always up for an adventure.
“I absolutely love to travel! I find so much joy in discovering new destinations, cultures, meeting new people, tasting new food, and adventures!”
