Accountfully Life

Employee Spotlight: Beth Evans

Employee Spotlight: Beth Evans

Accountfully believes people are greater than numbers, and we are on a mission to prove it.  We enjoy featuring our eclectic employees with a spotlight that shows the world a bit more about them behind the outsourced accounting scenes.

Beth is a true Texan who grew up in Houston and now lives in the wilds of Sweeny with her sassy daughter and pampered Doberman.  She learned rather quickly into her career journey that she loves a good spreadsheet and appreciates the story accounting tells of a company. Join us as we learn more about our remote Accounting Manager, and Baylor University alumn, Beth Evans.

Beth’s Role at Accountfully

Accounting Manager working from the “Wild West” of Sweeny, Texas.  Beth is also a big part of organizing Accountfully’s process documents, SOPs, and supports any Learning and Development initiatives as they arise.  "I help with Learning and Development and wherever else I'm needed."

What Got Beth Into Accounting

I appreciated the rules and black-and-white answers in accounting.

"I love how the numbers tell a story of where a company has been and where they are headed."

First Job

An assistant in a real estate office. Fetching coffee and making copies.

“I was horrible at it BUT I learned to love spreadsheets at that job!”

Favorite Way to Unwind After a Busy Day

A glass of whiskey and a true crime documentary. The more gory or bizarre the better.

The Work-Related Accomplishment Beth is Most Proud of

Getting my CPA License. It was the hardest and most fulfilling work thing I've ever done.

Favorite Part of Working at Accountfully

The People.  We have a culture that is positive and fun. I love my team. They work very hard and also manage to support each other and crack a few jokes along the way.

"Efficiency is important to me. Accountfully has put in a lot of time to building systems and processes that minimize wasted time internally and streamline things for our clients."

What Makes Beth Laugh the Most

My sassy kid and Jerry Seinfeld. It's a toss-up between the two.

Which Animal Beth Would Be and Why

Probably my Doberman, Tess. She lives such a charmed life.

Where Beth Would Go in a Time Machine

I would go back in time to Boulder, CO in the Ramsey Household on December 25, 1996, so I can see what really happened to Jon Benet (but we know what happened, don't we Burke?)

Karaoke Song Choice

Karaoke is not happening in Beth's world. Like...ever.
